Seize the Opportunity to Maximize your IBM Commerce Investment
Thur Jun 20, 2019 • 1-1:30 pm Eastern
Investing in IBM’s eCommerce platform was smart. But the recent divestiture of WebSphere Commerce to HCL likely raises some questions. What can you do to keep your WebSphere Commerce investment on track and moving forward?
Going to headless doesn’t mean you sacrifice business users ability to control the site using friendly tooling, that would be brainless…
My brilliant colleague, Sebastian Büttner, a Solution Architect at CoreMedia and Timmo Köhler, a Managing Partner at bitgrip GmbH, will be showing us the benefits of headless from both a developer and line of business point of view.
Why join the webinar?
Thrilled about the trending “headless topic” but you want to know what this actually means and how it is different from the traditional content management system? In this webinar, you will get the chance to get insight into a concrete customer case showcasing their success improving their search engine presence, making their product catalogue user and mobile friendly and much more. In a live demo we will show you how they implemented the project in a smart way.
I know this may be early for some East Coast people but I think it will be worth it and think about this, it won’t interrupt your busy schedule or you can just call into it from the treadmill. 🙂

I get asked all of the time how to do printing of charts, graphs and many other visual representations of Domino and Lotus Notes data. Check out the webinar Synaptris has tomorrow.
Avoid exporting Lotus Notes data to spreadsheets and protect your sensitive / confidential data from getting leaked/exposed outside your organization. With Synaptris new IntelliPRINT Analytics 4.0 (Beta) you can move your Notes data to a grid within Lotus Notes client and perform powerful analysis in a way that is interactive and easy to use. Save the analysis you make as a Smartview that you can come back and open again anytime. You can even share these Smartviews with others. Of course, there are options to export the analysed data to PDF, Excel, XML etc if you desperately need that.
You can perform operations like sorting, filtering (including multi-select filtering), grouping, and basic mathematical functions (sum, percentage, count, count distinct, minimum, maximum, average, etc.). IntelliPRINT Analytics also enables you to perform advanced functions like creating Interactive Charts (with drill down capability), Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Applying Formulae (including Lotus Formulae) and linking multiple Notes databases.
I just viewed the online webinar for the OpenSpan integration with Lotus Notes and Lotus Expeditor. It was a pretty good crowd size and I thought the demo was very cool. They integrated the Lotus Notes contact component with a C++ application and the FedEx shipping site. As you select a contact their information is pushed into the CRM (C++) application which then sends the shipping information over to the web browser for a FedEx look up. The entire application was assembled in the Composite Application Editor. The webinar will be available later this week for download. I will be sure to post a link. Check it out if you missed the webinar.
“An IBM Advanced Business Partner, OpenSpan offers OpenSpan Windows Container for IBM Lotus, which extends IBM Lotus Notes (versions 8.5+) and IBM Lotus Expeditor (versions 6.2+) to integrate and automate applications not currently supported by IBM Lotus Expeditor, including native Windows desktop applications.”
