HCL bought WebSphere Commerce, So what now?

It’s been almost five months since the announcement of HCL purchasing WebSphere Commerce from IBM(link). A lot of discussions have been had by the many brands and companies that use WebSphere Commerce to drive a lot of revenue from the e-Channel and more. The fact is, WebSphere Commerce isn’t going anywhere any time soon if ever. Every conversation I have had with anyone at HCL is they intend on investing in WebSphere Commerce and the team they are building is impressive and ready to take on the challenge.

That said, I think when you really look into the details of WebSphere Commerce you see a high performing eCommerce engine that scales like no other. Some of the highest traffic sites on the internet run on WebSphere Commerce, performance wise it is an amazing product and with it’s extended sites capability for both B2C and B2B functionality it’s competitors continue to remain in the backseat.

And this is why CoreMedia and Zilker (a top tier WebSphere Commerce talent pool)  are partnering to give you an iconic facelift to your WebSphere Commerce sites. Let’s admit it, the pagebuilder had it’s day, but it’s not iconic. With Zilker’s expertise and CoreMedia’s best of breed, easy to use, highly scalable content management system – how can you go wrong?
