Take some time today….

Take some time today to recognize a Marine.  Today is the Marine Corps 234th birthday.

During the American Revolution, many important political discussions took place in the inns and taverns of Philadelphia, including the founding of the Marine Corps.

A committee of the Continental Congress met at Tun Tavern to draft a resolution calling for two battalions of Marines able to fight for independence at sea and on shore.

The resolution was approved on November 10, 1775, officially forming the Continental Marines.

  1. Well, actually I think this should be on every site all over the world – so yes!

Btw, I don’t have an “eclipse feed” the feed is from my entire site. So are you going to post this same question for every non-eclipse related post?

  2. Well, I’m going to ask this question as long as you post non-related content to planet Eclipse.
And please learn to understand that not the whole world cares for American business (Marines and whatnot).

  3. You have a point and I have requested the PlanetEclipse site to change my feed to only have Eclipse content.

As for the whole world not caring about American business and specifically “Marines and whatnot”, you and your country should be pretty grateful to the service men and women of the allied forces otherwise you probably would not even have a blog.

  4. Markus,

You have a right to post what you want, but so do I. Therefore I am very happy to tell you that there are many people that choose to show appreciation for our great service men and women. I’m just telling you, there are more people that appreciate our service men and women and what they have done for the world than there are people that give a crap about anything you have to say. 🙂 Have a nice day!
